Service initially was HORRIBLE. We were seated outside at a table with a heater that did not work. We were told they would turn it on, that young lady never came back. We then went to the host stand to tell another young lady she walked by the table to get the table number and NEVER came back. We were seated around 11:25, a waitress whose name I didnt get finally came to the table but stated that the kitchen closed at 11:30 and hookah would take over an hr to get. Reiterated that the seating was only two hrs (per the note on the table) but wed have to wait an hr to even get anything? She informed us yes and said there was nothing she could do. She also NEVER came back to the table to check on us or to fix the heat. The only good thing about the night was the waitress Tiana, she herself gets FIVE stars. She came by our table around 12am asking if wed been helped. We told her our issues and she fixed ALL of them. She moved us to a table with heat, got our table a hookah AND informed us that the kitchen was indeed still open and open till 1am. Hopefully they work out the kinks. I personally wont be back unless booking directly through Tiana

The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the food truck. I came in one day my fiance and I spent about $120 in shots while playing a game of pool.. now let me first inform you that their shot glasses are the size of church communion glasses on a 1st Sunday. So there's a young Caucasian lady who had been serving us for about an hour then all of a sudden she has an attitude with another customer I politely ask her can she top my drink off and she pours some of it out and hands it back.. by this time I don't care if her daddy was the president and owned the bar it's some things you just don't do, and we tipped her well on every drink we ordered because I live downtown we've walked there to get food (Red Snapper) but because of her nasty attitude I want ever purchase another drink from that bar when she working. Your 1st impression is your last.

I usually eat from the food truck at this place ... if you want authentic African food, this is the place to stop at and get it. Sunday's are a whole vibe. Afro beats with the best around beat DJ.

The Hub is by far one of our new favorite spots in the Uptown/South End area of Charlotte. Not only is it the perfect tailgating location being just a few minute walk to BOA stadium but they also host weekly events that cater to all different crowds and interests. The atmosphere is top notch especially when they have live DJs. The bar staff is always friendly and quick as well. Check this place out if you havent yet!

Honestly, I dont see how this place could have a 4.1 star rating when they arent going about things in the right way as a place that likes to host events. They had double booked on Sunday, February 26th 2023 and said the atmosphere (even outside ( music wise) ) would be family friendly. My friends who sell crystals, do tarot readings, etc couldnt operate how an event should and even had to leave early. I wont ever recommend or give CLT Hub a dime.
