Always a nice place to play. Tee boxes are in top shape compared to other courses. Very nice, challenging course! Glad they have reopened. Updated Review 8/22 While the course continues to be one of the nicer ones in the area, I dont believe that I will be back. The staff is just too rude and too incompetent. This does not apply to the guys in the pro shop, only the starters. There is a negative interaction before or during your round almost every time out there. We were asked who the hell are you guys? Had tee times delayed, and also dealt with one starter who flew down the hill to make sure we knew that we had to check in with him first. (He was nowhere to be seen for 15 minutes before). Next time remember, you wait for me. He could have been in the bathroom for all we know. Its not our responsibility to miss our tee time when there is no starter around. I know most of these guys are retired and do it for the free golf. Maybe its time to move on. With all the other great choices in the area -Waterford, Tega Cay, Springfield, etc I think I will be. Very disappointed. Delayed writing this review, but enough is enough. The starters have ruined it for me and I spread the word to everyone.

As a Donald Ross fan, I always feel like I am walking into a little bit of history when I arrive on the property. I love the layout and the greens are really good.

They should be ashamed of the range(0 stars). Its 90 percent sand, 5 percent mud and 5 percent dead yard grass. Just terrible and they give no warning to how bad it is. Putting green is solid and plenty big for when it gets busy. But that range sheesh, :( plenty of sun on the range too so should be no problem growing grass. They have two areas to hit from on the range so I dont understand why one area isnt closed to grow grass while you beat balls off the other(because thats all you can do with those conditions) and then switch and grow grass on the other. Greens were solid. Bunkers were nice, perfect amount of sand. Course needs some TLC, a few locations that need to be roped off then aerated and seeded.

Nice design but many bare areas on fairways. Desperately needs some grass seed on tees and fairways esp 12, 13, 15, 8 etc., some trees probably need to go that shade FWs. Nice sandy traps and greens ok. Reminds me of my muni course I played as a kid.

I have never been to this place nor do I play golf and someone keeps using my email address to make reservations. Well after I called to see why my email address was being used, low and behold the name of the reservations was put under an employee's name. I have no idea what that employee is up to but you guys need to check into asap. Thank you to young man who did assist me with getting almost to the bottom of the issue. Hence the 3 stars for him.
