Old Town Kitchen & Cocktails

Was thinking the food would be good here, but left disappointed. Ordered the trout and thought they brought the wrong order out as you can see the trout was barely visible with all the sauce drenched over it. It was small portion for the price and Ive had better elsewhere. The meat in the country fried steak was too tough and chewy and the fried chicken was a bit on the dry side. Like others have said, wish the quality of food matched the price. Wont be coming back.

We walked in on a Sunday evening without a reservation and sat at the bar which has very comfortable seats and a good vibe. Both my wife and I got the chicken tenders and two sides. The tender breading was nice but it was fried maybe a bit too long removing too much moisture. Both the greens and cabbage were good. The creamy mac and cheese was more on the dry side and I probably wouldn't get it again. Brussel sprouts were a very large serving and very tasty. On the bright side the staff was friendly, fun and attentive and drinks were great! I will definitely come back and further explore the menu.

The Goodyear House is one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte, so since they opened this place, I've been dying to try it. We made a reservation for restaurant week and the regular menu looked so good that we ended up ignoring the restaurant week menu. We went with friends and got some appetizers to share which I highly recommend doing to try more than just your entrees. We tried: - Bang Bang Brussels - New Alwins Shrimp Toast - Pull-Apart Reuben Sliders - Caramel Pork Shoulder - Pulled Pork Melt with creamy mac & cheese They knocked it out of the park. The appetizers were the star of the show in my opinion. The sliders were not your average reuben which is why I loved them. The marinated kale on them was phenomenal. The Brussels were the best I've ever had with that bang bang sauce. I wanted to ask for a spoon to drink the sauce of the shrimp toast. I loved both entrees, but the pork flavor was similar between the two so I wish we would have mixed it up. The pork shoulder wins for me because of the sticky greens. I've never liked collards, but it turns out I do like them when they're done well. The service was outstanding. We had the friendliest waitress. They also let us bring a cake for my birthday and didn't charge us. They validate parking, but only for an hour. If you go over, the garage only charges $1/hour though. I'd love to come back to try both brunch and lunch because both sound amazing! Chef Coleman does it again. Make sure to stop by and try it!

Such great sandwiches, starters, and cocktails! We're always pleased with our food when we stop in. Make sure to try the warm banana pudding! That stuff is life-changing! And be sure to ask for Devin, she's a fantastic server and is always so sweet to us

We enjoyed brunch here on Sunday. They are known for their upscale atmosphere, and wonderful food. Our server seemed inexperienced and uncertain, and could use some guidance and training. Everything was prepared as ordered and served hot. Dont skip dessert!
