Fried shrimp, green beans, and Mac n cheese. Dang so delicious. The shrimp were so so good. The Mac n cheese though! Man that was awesome. I highly recommend. I understand this places gets busy. I showed up around 1:15 on a weekday and no line. Lots of their food items were not available though.

New to the area and being that I lived in Maryland for over 2 decades, I had to give this a go this turns out to be a friends Of mine cousins restaurant. Not many places do crab cakes right outside of Maryland; Baltimore to be specific. The crabcake was great! I love how it came with the sides of rice and another of your choice BUT those honey-old bay wings is down right . Do your mouth a favorYou cant go wrong with that at all. The main drawback is wait times. They promote online ordering but its never open therefore, you have to call your order in or go to the restaurant and place an order BUT youll still be waiting a minimum of 45 minutes. Now sure whether its staffing issues or not but when I placed my order, there was one cook and one cashier. Not worried about the pricing but inflation is real and its just the times we live in.

Ive never visited the Tuckaseegee location because accessing that restaurant is impossible. They finally opened a spot in my neighborhood. I visit the Plaza Midwood location last Saturday at 3pm. No where to park so I park on the side street and walk up. Why theyd do this again is beyond me. Not busy at all but everyone waiting for food looked annoyed. Folk started walking out. Red flag #1. White male with a white shirt and black slacks is walking around expressionless and not greeting anyone. He walks out with a line out the door that was standing 10 min before anyone acknowledged them, and says NOTHING to them. Not letting them know someone would be there to assist, nothing. I order crab fries and greens to go. An HOUR later, I walk up to ask about my food. It comes out 10 min later. $23 crab fries with less than a spoonful of crab meat on it. I said NO MAAM, I didnt just spend $23 for French fries. Ill need more crab or a refund. The young lady was very nice and brought it back with more crab meat. My first and last time visiting. Overpriced, too long of a wait for no reason, and the parking sucks again. I was really rooting for them. Two stars for the three friendly ladies who held down that nonsense with a smile on their faces.

I had heard really good things about this place, so I decided to check it out today (2/7/22) for lunch. I ordered some crab fries that were good, but it was basically fries with some sauce and barely had crab meat. I also ordered a platter that came with salmon, shrimp, yellow rice and two sides. I asked for mashed potatoes, for one of the sides, but they were out of it, so I decided on mac & cheese and corn bread. After 20 minutes waiting, they texted me that the food was ready, but the corn bread wasnt ready so I had to choose another side In general the food was good, just wish Id had a better experience.

Absolutely faultless - this place is the real deal! Greeted promptly and enthusiastically upon entering, and immediately felt at home. This is a laid back, no-frills joint. Music was bumping and the energy is amazing. You know something special is going down in the kitchen as soon as you walk in. Good seafood is not cheap; if you want a container of FOOD for six bucks: go to Cookout! If you want a MEAL, prepared with care and LOVE: LuLus has got your back! I will absolutely be adding LuLus to my short-list of amazing CLT spots to recommend to friends and family in the know - it was my first time today, and definitely will not be my last. Ive been in Charlotte for over a decade now, and the first bite of that crab cake transported me right back in time to picking crabs with friends in Baltimore. Magical, truly.
