They have some really good char-grilled hotdogs! I don't prefer the onion rings, they are flavorful but the batter holds too much grease and it falls off the onion ring itself. However, the rest of the meal was good. I don't eat hotdogs often just because they are highly processed but when I do I am going to go to JJ's when I'm in town. It's a nice treat for yourself. They have plenty of toppings too and you can custom order if you don't want what's offered on their menu, and the menu has plenty of options.

My goodness! Best hotdogs weve had in a while. I was so happy they had vegan dogs. I had a Chicago style and their daily special. The homemade pickles are especially tasty. Oh and the tater tots. This is a must not miss in Charlotte!

JJs Redhots is a local hot dog joint. Just a hot dog joint you say? Its far from just another place that serves hot dogs. These are the absolute best hot dogs in town if not the world. Their toppings are top notch, each week they put out a new and exciting dog of the week. I have to come here at least once a month otherwise I feel like I am missing apart of myself. I would choose this hands down over most steak places for a date night out! PS. Get the tots with cheese on them! Just WOW!

Seen this place on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. Decided to make the drive from Greenville to check it out since Im such a huge fan of the show. I decided to order what Guy ate which was a meal that they actually offered on the menu. The onion rings were nice and crispy & the different options of dipping sauces were tasty as well. As for the main star of the dish, the dogsthey were okay. Didnt quit get that snappy casing with the JJ's Bratwurst. The Chili Cheese Coney was pretty basic. They also offer a plethora of other dogs as well. All in all, my visit was a pleasant one.

We are originally from Detroit, some of you may be familiar with American Coney Island and Lafayette in downtown. We relocated to Charlotte nearly 3 years ago. My husband is always on the lookout for a good hot dog. He heard good things about JJs, from a neighbor, so he really insisted we try it, yesterday. First, this place feels like it belongs in a ballpark. Has that old time charm. I dont usually do hotdogs, so my husband did a few for himself and I tried the chicken sandwich with a side of chili cheese fries. I was super hungry! Sometimes hard to judge the food when youre starving. Im not going to say that the food was the best weve ever had but we enjoyed the experience.
