Hestia Rooftop

I went to Hestia tonight and was super impressed. They only opened yesterday and yet going in today they were already operating as a well oiled machine. The bar staff were lovely (shoutout Violet and Audrey!!!) and continuously engaging even with the many drinks tickets coming in. The food was fantastic (the only remotely negative comment was that the cheesecake plate didnt look like what we expected, but before we even asked they had taken it away and made a suggestion for a different dessert that was SO good!!!!). 10/10 would recommend the vibe, music, bar service (we didnt eat in the dining room so I cant comment yet!), food, and even music. Cant wait to be back and come visit our new fave bartenders. Well done!

Nice atmosphere. Reservations are tough since it's new but we were able to score a last min reservation. The food was decent. The rolls were good. The cocktails were good too. Service was great. Maybe because it's new we had several people check in on us.

The atmosphere is amazing . The view on Ballantyne is beautiful. We were able to get our reservations 3 weeks before the date . The place is hot spot right now . The food was fine . The rolls were not the best in town as other comments say it was Ok. One set of rolls was with seafood and STEAK on top - thats a huge NO me .The desserts are the best I EVER ate. Ginger cream brle has amazing ginger aftertaste, passionfruit mango mousse is something you MUST try. Its upscale restaurant taste for sure. Highly recommend

Checked out Hestia Rooftop in Ballantyne. We had heard about it opening up recently and we're curious if it would live up to the early hype. Pros: Upscale rooftop vibe without having to go all the way to Uptown. Nice views from the rooftop. Food presentation was great. The food certainly photographed nicely. There were certain things we really enjoyed, and other items we probably wouldn't order again. My wife really enjoyed her Miyazaki strip. It was so tender the knife basically fell through it. Sushi tasted fresh. Our server was attentive, friendly and engaging. Cons: Price/value for sushi with a fairly limited variety. You are definitely paying a premium for the atmosphere. I do not mind paying for high end food/experience, but would rather be at O-Ku for the price tag. The tartare needed something to enhance the flavor. The tiny lemon wedge provided doesn't yield enough to enhance the subtle taste of tuna. I love tartare but would rather try something else next time. Sushi rolls were on the small side. Nigiri was fine, but when paying Omakase prices I would expect something a little more special. We ordered the butter cake for dessert and it was quite dry. They have some powerful fans up there, so be prepared for it to be breezy between those and being a couple hundred feet up. All-in it was a $400 dinner for two with only two beers. Sushi certainly drove the bill up as Nigiri is $7-$18 per piece. Overall a positive experience and we'll likely go back again at some point to explore some of the other menu offerings. I drive past Prime Fish to get here, and would much rather go there for the selection, flavors and expanded sushi variety. Only drawback there is Prime Fish doesn't have much (or anything really) in the way of cooked entrees, so it's a non-starter for my wife as she does not partake in the fruits of the sea. Next time we'll probably grab a couple friends and do the Miyazaki Tomahawk to see if it lives up to the $400 price tag. For me, O-Ku is still the King of Queen City sushi.

While the view and restaurant itself is beautiful, some of the service is lacking. While the beverage director Lo, our servers Alex & K were AMAZING, the hostesses and GM are lacking in customer service. I have NEVER been to an establishment where we have a reservation and not only be told by the hostesses that we cant sit outside because they were full (but there were 5 tables available at the time). Thankfully Lo corrected that action and sat our party of 4. Later during our service, we were asked to move from our table because there was a party of 10 coming in and they needed the space, however there were other parties that came in before us that could have been asked the same. I have never been in an establishment where I was asked to release my table (due to the timing of how long it took for service) and because the restaurant overbooked. We asked to speak with the GM who never came to the table. Its quite disappointing that a restaurant of this caliber was lacking in communication and service. Again, Lo, Alex, and K were amazing, but the rest was mediocre. Disappointed at the overall experience!
