Let's Talk About Da Food
Ambiance: 4 out of 5 The only complaint I have is that the lighting was too dark for nice food photos. However, the music was very good! Service: 5 out of 5 My server was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu and what she would order. She also gave us the three meals of the day plus the drink specials. I took notice of how the other servers were treating their guests and I believe they all got grade A service! Food: 4 out of 5 Appetizer...Cast Iron Cornbread! This was a very tasty start to the meal. It had real corn and jalapenos (they didn't have any heat to them) baked in it. It's also served with some warm syrup.. I ordered the house salad which they served with their version of ranch and it was beyond amazing. The salad was mixed greens, shredded carrots and red cabbage, bacon, and eggs! Entree...Grilled Strip Bass, Green beans, and Cheddar Grits...! My fish was grilled perfectly, not overcooked green beans, and the grits were creamy. All in all, it was a great meal. My family had salads and they loved them too! If you are visiting or residing in the area this is a must-eat at the place! Make those reservations ahead of time!

Wow! How to do 131 MAIN justice in a review? Ill break it up in categories: Ambiance: There are multiple ways to celebrate and experience 131 MAIN. Looking for an energetic fun atmosphere? Their open bar seating is bright, enthusiastic, and full of options! On the other hand make a reservation to have one of their darkened spot lit tables and you will have an amazingly intimate and secluded dining experience. The darkness and special lighting really make the meal here! Or enjoy their evening shaded patio complete with outdoor fireplaces and relaxing music for an easy going night out escape. Food: All around the food is impeccable and unparalleled. Masterfully prepared and presented you can expect consistency from the exclusive dishes they offer. My favorite entree is definitely the braised lamb shank. Cooked to perfection and fall off the bone tender the flavor and decadence of the meat, sauce and potatoes can take your breath away and have you planning your next time to come back for more! Please take the opportunity to try their cornbread, they honestly need to be awarded for this creation as it far surpasses any other cornbread offering I have tried in the south! Price: Id describe their pricing in the $$$-$$$$ realm, however it is well earned. If you are after impeccable service and connoisseur level drinks and dinner plates this is the place for you at a reasonable rate for level of service and portions. A true five star experience, 131 MAIN should be on your list of top places to go for a visit or special occasion!

A very pleasant dining experience. The waiter was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious. I encourage you make dinner reservations before coming. The food is expensive, so I cant make this a frequent visit, but will return every now and then because its such a nice place to dine at. Keep up the good work and keep the high standard!

This is the third time we are dining at this restaurant. Our experience was mixed. Given that it was Mothers Day, there was a fairly good crowd even for our 7:45 reservation. We were seated on time and were waited on by Dee, who was pleasant and quite attentive. Unfortunately, the salmon was over cooked and dry. I could barely finish a third of it. It lacked any flavor. On the other hand, the baby back ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and delicious. The P$J slaw that we both got as a side was a definite hit. Given that more than half of the entree was sent back unfinished, I would think the management would have done something to show their good will.

Nice classy restaurant with good ambience and seating arrangements, the dishes we tried were good , we tried more of the appetizers like artichoke, salmon , soups with some wine, we went on Tuesday and got to know we had 50% off, it was overall a great experience, we will go and try next time more of the main course. This was my first time trying the artichoke and literally learnt how to eat them first in place, the salmon tasted excellent with good dips with crackers. The soup also tasted well , we felt more like taking cheese and buttery flavors, this was due to the first time experience and ordering appetizers only.
