Normal pool hall with the exception you have to put quarters in the machine after every game. I like it better when you rent by the hour b/c once the black ball goes in you technically have to pay to get it out and start over. When I asked for a mixed drink the bartender laughed and said this is a dive bar with no menu. So I guess they should tweak their business model a bit. Menus can be digital now. We also paid $20 for songs and never heard them b/c other people were skipping us by playing songs on their phone. It felt very contentious when it came to that.

Mediocre. Its basically just like the place that used to be there, but cleaner and more expensive. Food was OK, not great, but not bad. Drinks were fine too, but pricey. Its almost like bar rescue came to the old place, painted it, raised the prices, and then re-opened it. I will give it some time and see if they get established, then try again. Its a great location and a decent concept. If they can get into a better rhythm, expand the menu a little, and get the prices down a little, they may have something successful. With $10 drafts and a limited menu, they may not. Time will tell.

Went during the week and Tracy was working behind the bar. Place was basically empty. I asked her how things were going and she said there going. In restaurant language that means not so great. She showed no eagerness to provide good service and was just hanging out with some other guy that appeared to work there. She was awfully friendly with him as well considering he was wearing a wedding band and she wasnttake that for what it is. You would think if business is slow you would use logic and try to serve the customers you do have in front of you to build a client base. Poor service and not personable bartender. TVs behind the bar have massive burn-in and the LEDs that illuminate them are shining through. If you wanted to watch a sporting event you would literally be stressed out trying to watch anything on those TVs. Overall Michael Waltrip dumped some money into this place and while it is aesthetically an improvement it will never succeed unless you change the culture and the attitudes/engagement skills that are needed to succeed in the service industry. I encourage you Michael Waltrip to be an undercover boss for a week and get a feel for how your new investment is working out. Wishing this place the best but more than likely it will fold in a year. Do yourself a favor and go to Hooters.

Soft opening, not full opening until May 1, so limited menu. However, the food offered was good and the service was great. We do wish they had the Micheal Waltrop beer on tap.

Can't say I recommend this place. (MWT) Complete let down. Went on a Wednesday night. It was slow. Sat at the bar. We were ignored by the bartender working our side of the bar. I mean why would you want to stop a conversation with your boyfriend for paying customers? Then while waiting for our Appetizer (that had been sitting in the back for a while) because she is sitting on a cooler playing tic tac toe w/bf. Dinner also came out wrong. (Wings not right, burger raw) Got the bill and we were charged twice for the wings. We did get the wings & bill fixed.
