A neighborhood pool house and bar by the owners of The Degenerate is open at NoDa’s newest development, The Pass. Pretend you’re on the West Coast at this California-inspired restaurant, now operating its third Charlotte-area location. The wine list contains over 100 Napa Valley (and beyond) wines plus an extensive food menu of small plates, salads, entrées and sides. Fun note: all Napa locations are also open on Thanksgiving Day for a turkey dinner.
Oshen
Area: South Charlotte
The owners of Viva Chicken and Yunta have opened a new sushi restaurant in South Charlotte. In addition to signature rolls, diners can order various tartares, nigiri, small plates and hibachi. If you’re looking for something to sip on, try one of the craft cocktails or a bottle of sake.

When allergies or intolerances get in the way of dessert time, head to Seemingly Overzealous’ new location. The ice cream menu is all dairy-, egg- and gluten-free and can be enjoyed in a cup, a gluten-free waffle cone or as an ice cream sandwich.
