Fly Kid Fly
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
The Bowl at Ballantyne has another new tenant. Say hello to Fly Kid Fly, a coffee shop by the HEX brand and owners of Suffolk Punch. Sip on your favorite espresso drinks paired with a breakfast burrito, or try their signature “Cumulus” drink, made with matcha, toasted coconut milk and blue spirulina.
Folia
Neighborhood: South End
Well-known mixologist Bob Peters is at it again with the addition of Folia, a cocktail bar by Built on Hospitality. Step into a green oasis filled with plenty of plants and tropical décor. You can also snack on small plates like crudo and flatbread with those craft cocktails.
The Imperial Treasure
Area: Matthews
Dig into dim sum and a variety of Chinese specialties at this new restaurant in Matthews. While you peruse the menu, look up and observe the team working the dough at the dumpling-making station. If you have a crew, consider booking their private room, which seats up to 10 guests.
Night Swim Coffee
Neighborhood: Lower South End
This local coffee company’s “Verbena” café can be found in the ELAN LoSo apartment building. Open to the public seven days a week, it offers Night Swim’s delicious coffee drinks and pastries to enjoy inside or on the go.
Sweetgreen
Neighborhood: Uptown
The Queen City’s first Sweetgreen is open at the corner of Trade and Tryon Streets next to Monarch Market. Known for its salads and grain bowls, this fast-casual spot is a favorite for Uptown lunch-goers. Download their app to make ordering and pick up super simple.
Talkin’ Tacos
Area: Concord
Once a food truck in Miami, this taco concept now has brick-and-mortars opening around the South. Choose from several taco options or switch it up with Loaded Nachos, Birria Pizza, a burrito or quesadilla.

SouthPark Mall has added another luxury shopping brand to its list of tenants. To browse Balenciaga’s goods, it’s easiest to enter through Belk or Nordstrom. The designer brand is located in between Casper and Tiffany & Co.
IKEA
Area: South Charlotte
It’s true! Charlotte is now home to a second IKEA store, but this one is a little different. This “plan & order point with pick-up” location allows customers to meet one-on-one with IKEA team members to plan out their spaces and order what they need. Items will be available for delivery.
