5 Ways to Experience the ACC Championship Game
As the holiday season approaches us, the Queen City is preparing for what has become a December tradition in Charlotte, the ACC Football Championship Game.

The first weekend in December will have the streets of Uptown Charlotte buzzing with local and visiting college football fans displaying school spirit and providing the energy only experienced with this type of event. While fans will want to catch the game live in Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, December 7, there will be events on Friday and Saturday that Charlotte has embraced to provide a full weekend experience around the ACC Football Championship Game.
ACC FanFest
Date: Friday, December 6 from 5 - 9pm and Saturday, December 7 from 10am - 6:30pm
Location: Charlotte Convention Center
Cost: Free
The 2019 ACC Fan Fest will feature both a new location at the Charlotte Convention Center and an improved experience! Fans attending FanFest can expect a fun football experience with half sized turf football field with a passing accuracy station and 40-yard dash, a field goal kicking station, gaming consoles, the Capital One Orange Bowl RV, CFP Extra Yard for Teachers bus, an ESPN set and ACC Football mega trophy for fans to capture photos, and more! Not to mention, a DJ will keep the party going throughout the event and fans of legal drinking age can take in the beer garden which will have a host of TVs for fans to keep up with sporting events going on throughout the day.
ACC Night of Legends
Date: Friday, December 8 at 6pm
Location: Charlotte Convention Center
Cost: Event is SOLD OUT
Hall of Fame inductees, record setters and NFL standouts will be honored during the ACC Night of Legends presented by the Charlotte Sports Foundation at the Charlotte Convention Center, on Friday, Dec. 6.
The 14-member group of honorees includes Boston College’s Joe Nash, Clemson’s Brian Dawkins, Duke’s Chris Port, Florida State’s Ron Sellers, Georgia Tech’s Derrick Morgan, Louisville’s Deion Branch, Miami’s Bernie Kosar, North Carolina’s Julius Peppers, NC State’s Nate Irving, Pitt’s Rickey Jackson, Syracuse’s Joe Morris, Virginia’s Don Majkowski, Virginia Tech’s DeAngelo Hall and Wake Forest’s Bob McCeary.
ACC Fan 5k and Mascot Fun Run presented by Atrium Health
Date: Saturday, December 7 from 10am - 6:30pm
Location: Uptown Charlotte
Cost: 11/19 - 12/6, $40 | Race day (12/7), $45
Join the ACC and mascots from around the Conference the morning of the big game for the annual ACC Fan 5K and Kids Mascot Run. The race takes place at 8 AM in Uptown Charlotte, with start and finish at the corner of E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and S. Brevard St., and is the perfect way to kick off game day with your friends and family. Participants in the race will get a race t-shirt and have a first look at ACC FanFest following the race.
ACC Football Championship Game
Date: Saturday, December 7 | Gates open at 5:30pm, Kick-off at 7:30pm

Be part of a tradition in Charlotte the first Saturday in December, the ACC Football Championship Game. With defending National Champion Clemson claiming the Atlantic Division and a heated Coastal Division race, this plans to be an exciting match-up you won’t want to miss!
Fans are encouraged to head to the stadium and utilize the North, East, and South gates to expedite entry. New to the game in 2019, all tickets are mobile.
