Charlotte SHOUT! is one of the Queen City’s most-anticipated annual festivals. The 17-day event, March 29-April 14, features interactive and immersive installations, performances, classes and more under four main pillars: art, music, food and ideas. With so much to see and do, here’s your guide to the experiences available during Charlotte SHOUT!
New for 2024 Charlotte SHOUT! are the map zones. These make it easier to navigate the array of offerings during the two-week event.
Zone 1
Live Music on the Ally Main Stage
When: March 29-April 14
Where: First Ward Park
Every day during Charlotte SHOUT!, head to First Ward Park for a variety of live music. Local soul artists kickoff SHOUT! on Friday, March 29. Other performances include an Easter Praise Fest, local bands and a Jazz Fest to close out SHOUT!.
SHOUT! Beer Garden
When: March 29-31, April 4-7, April 11-14
Where: First Ward Park
Grab a cold beverage from the beer garden to sip while you listen to live music at First Ward Park. A variety of craft beer and wine are available for purchase.
MacFly Fresh Capsules
When: March 29-31, April 5-7, April 12-14

Create your own one-of-a-kind SHOUT! keepsake with the screen printing experts at MacFly Fresh.
Daybreaker CLT Peace Tour
When: Saturday, March 30
Where: First Ward Park
Unwind with an hour of yoga followed by a two-hour dance party featuring performance artists, aerialists, fire spinners, breakdancers and more. White attire, symbolic of peace, is recommended.
Charlotte Ideas Festival presents David Pogue
When: Wednesday, April 3
Where: Dubois Center at UNC Charlotte Center City
New York Times bestselling author and “CBS News Sunday Morning” correspondent, David Pogue, explores what a post-robot, post-AI word looks like, discussing the societal and individual impacts.
Music Bingo
When: April 3 and 10
Where: Victoria Yards
Test your music knowledge as Mindless Minutia and Bluz present two themed bingo nights. Challenge your musical skills during ‘80s and ‘90s bingo on April 3 and a hip hop edition on April 10.
Carolina BBQ Festival
When: April 5-6
Where: Victoria Yards
Indulge in smoked meats from more than 15 pitmasters during the Carolina BBQ Festival. The festival kicks off on Friday, April 5 with a barbecue spread, crawfish boil and a private concert from Filmore. On Saturday, April 6, enjoy barbecue tastings, live music from North Carolina acts and vendors on site.
Elephant & Piggie's “We are in a Play!”
When: April 6-14

Sing and dance to this family-friendly, vaudevillian-style show, presented by Children’s Theater of Charlotte. based on the “Elephant & Piggie” books by Mo Willems.
Creative Art Workshop - Piece for PEACE
When: Sunday, April 7

Express your creativity however you like while spreading positive messages as you write the word “peace” on various objects using crayons, chalk, paint and more.
StrEAT Smarts: The Science of Pasta Making
When: Tuesday, April 9

Dig into the art of pasta making with chef Raffaele Patrizi of Mano Bella Artisan Foods. Taste four different types of pasta paired with compatible sauces.
StrEAT Smarts: Wine + Cheese, Made to Pair in North Carolina

Wine-and-cheese experts, Josh Villapando of Assorted Table Wine & Shop and Rachel Klebaur or Orrman’s Cheese Shop, offer tips on pairing North Carolina-made wine and cheese.
SHOUT! Chic Cinema Under the Stars: “Cruella”

CMS Day featuring Charlotte Students

Watch as local and international artists collaborate to adorn these walls with vibrant color. The Spray Jam Celebration Party on Sunday, April 14 celebrates the final product.

The alleyway at 200 S. Tryon St. features dappled light through branches, simulating the magic of North Carolina’s native songbirds.
